31 Jan How Long Does BOS 100® Last?

RPI Group has been successfully using BOS 100^®to remediate chlorinated solvent contaminated sites for almost 15 years. Given the longevity of this product in the marketplace, you might expect that we have all kinds of long-term performance data. Well, we do and we don’t.

Some of you may be surprised to learn that most sites that are either issued NFAs, or otherwise meet/exceed remediation objectives, are never sampled again. Why is that? Property owners don’t want, or need, to pay for it, and I totally understand where they are coming from. Our friends in the environmental consulting world don’t want to work for free, and I get that too.

Occasionally, at very large projects and/or when strict contaminant thresholds are tied to a property transaction, monitoring can exceed (by years) the four to eight quarters typically requested by the regulatory community. In the graph below you will see more than six years of the concentration vs. time averages at 14 monitoring wells. This data speaks for itself. If you would like to know more about this remediation success, please click here to review our case study.
